The Column of Disquiet - We Used to Vacation

My wife and I recently went on vacation, and prior to departure, I mentioned to my editor at The Next Ten Words that he was going to get one heck of a column out of it.

I wasn't joking; breaking the rule he has about going over 5,000 words, I turned in an epic tome/reflection on my time in the Pacific Northwest. He kindly let those additional 300 words and change slide this time, but I should probably not make a habit out of being this verbose.

The column is up and running right now. This is the most important thing I've ever written; please direct me to where I may pick up my Pulitzer.
