Episode 41 of the Podcast with Illustrious Guest Joe Klinebriel!

At the beginning of this year, I spent a lot of time writing about Nick Drake's final studio album, Pink Moon, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in March. The person who really introduced me to Drake's output was a professor I had in college—Joe Klinebriel. He used a handful of Drake's tunes as the soundtrack for a play he directed that I had been cast in. In recalling all of that, I realized I had known Joe for 20 years (yikes!) but also that he'd make a great guest on the show. This conversation was a ton of fun, and also really insightful in terms of how others think about music as analytically and emotionally as I do.
