What we talk about when we talk about reading

One of my oldest/dearest/et. al friends, Colin, runs a blog about books-- Reading. It is interactive in the sense that it's not like this blog--where it's just me, writing about some trifling old bullshit, but rather, talking points are posted, and readers are encouraged to submit their responses.

The other day, Colin asked me if I would contribute something to his site, and I couldn't say "yes" fast enough. It took a minute to come up with the general concept, but I ended up producing a bit of a #longread about the 1999 coming of age story The Perks of Being A Wallflower.
