The Column of Disquiet - I Swear, or, 1,500 'Fucks'

I use a lot of profanity in my daily life. Maybe it's because I think it makes me seem like a total badass. Maybe it's because I have a lack of imagination. Maybe, despite my middle class upbringing and liberal arts degree, I am uneducated. Maybe it just feels good to say 'fuck' or 'shit' all of the time, and really mean it.

Use of profanity and the subsequent censorship of was one of my long lingering topics for a possible Column of Disquiet, and I was able to shape the idea enough to come up with something that has been called 'not his best, but a favorite' by my editor.
