B.G.M. x A.H. present a review of the new album from Moby

As someone who has been aware of and listening to Moby, off and on, for over 20 years now, I am cautiously optimistic when he releases new music. Upon the announcement of his new full-length, Everything Was Beautiful, And Nothing Hurt, I was not impressed by the album's first single, but I thought, 'Well, maybe the rest of it will be better?'

My editor, Jon, at Bearded Gentlemen Music, was kind enough to allow me the opportunity to write this one up, and was incredibly encouraging when it came to going after a promo copy of the record to use for review purposes. The site is used to getting, as he puts it, 'big timed' by labels and artists who don't take it seriously and won't respond to inquiries for review copies. I emailed someone at Moby's label and never heard back, then a week later, gave a 'gentle reminder' and heard back right away, much to my amazement. Jon suggested I threaten them with physical violence if they didn't comply.

I'm glad it didn't come to that.
